Knolls Tsunami Updates including ALL Volunteer Positions OPEN
Hello!
We have several updates for you all, including that the Volunteer shifts have now been posted and are open! I want to thank all of you for your patience while we get the shifts sorted out. We were able to reach out to each of our away meets and get the exact number of volunteers needed, and were also able to make a big change at concessions and eliminate 8 volunteer positions per home meet (we now have 3 home meets this season, so that is 24 spots!) The change for Concessions is the following: The 1st shift will set up concessions and serve customers until event #45. The 2nd shift will serve customers until the end of the meet and take down concessions. Due to this being additional work, the shift will be worth 2 points.
We did not change the required number of volunteer shifts this year (4 for first swimmer, 2 each additional swimmer), but hopefully this will eliminate some of the last minute Hail Mary emails for coverage. I could not figure out how to send you all the shifts, so if you would please login to the swimtopia site, and under the schedule tab go to swim meets. There you will find all of the events, select the event you want to volunteer for and you can sign up that way. I have also enabled the registration piece so that if you have not yet registered, you should be able to sign up for your positions while you register. You will need to sign up for your shifts prior to the first meet!
Additionally, we have just learned that one of our away meets (June 16th) has been changed to a Home Meet against Ben Franklin. I Have updated the website with this information.
Finally, we are VERY close to landing the Jason Lezak clinic. We are trying to partner with Forest Park, and are about 12 participants away from securing this event between the two teams. Please, if you have not let me know whether your swimmers would be interested, do so now. We need to lock down a date by the end of April or it will not happen. It will be either June 18, 19 or 20 in the afternoon.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Thank you,
Jaime and Allie
