Knolls Tsunami Stroke & Turn Judges
Hello Swim Team Parents!
I'm sending this information because you have inquired either this year or last about becoming a Stroke & Turn Judge for the Knolls swim team.
As the lead stroke judge it is my job to make sure we have enough qualified volunteers to fill our requirements for each meet. We generally have four stroke judge shifts per meet, which means we are always needing more judges!
The first step is to attend a Beginner Stroke Judge Clinic, of which there are currently three opportunities. Please make an effort to attend any one of these. I've learned from experience that these can change so I will send a confirmation / reminder closer to each date.
- Tuesday, April 30, 7-8 pm @ Koelbel Library (5955 S Holly St. 80121)
- Wednesday, May 8, 7-8 pm @ Koelbel Library (5955 S Holly St. 80121)
- Saturday, May 18, 3-4 pm @ Koelbel Library (5955 S Holly St. 80121)
The second step is to pass an online test, which will be emailed to you by the Rocky Mountain Swim League after the class. I usually receive a list of who attended a class and passed the online test.
If you become a stroke judge, then adjustments to your current volunteer positions will be made so you aren't expected to be at two places at once.
Let me know if you have any questions or no longer have interest in being a judge and I'll remove you from my list.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the Stroke Judging team!
Thank you,
Mike Bradley
