Meet Information 6/1/19 vs SouthPark Dolphins & Other Items

    Hello Tsunami Families!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night at the Spaghetti Kick Off - starting at 6pm at the Knolls Clubhouse.  What a crazy two weeks it has been, but looking forward to our upcoming meet.  One thing I forgot to mention, was that there will be NO RIPPLES PRACTICE this week.  Due to the constraints with the pool, there is just no way to fit it in.  We are very hopeful that the pool will be ready to go Monday Morning, and if so, Ripples will start at 10:30 am.

If you ordered anything with the FIRST order, and have not picked it up yet, we will have it available at the Spaghetti Dinner tomorrow or next week during practice.  Look for Andrea or myself and we can be sure to get it to you.

Ok, now for the meet information on Saturday:

SouthPark Pool Address: 2801 West Long Drive, Littleton, CO 80120

Parking: Limited space in the parking lot. We will reserve space (at minimum, one space for a parent rep vehicle and one space for a coach vehicle). Tents: You can set up your tents on the green space on the north side of the tennis courts. There is an entrance to the pool in close proximity to where your tents will be. The Dolphins tent is to be set up just north of the pool so we'll be using the same entrance into the pool.

Concessions: We will have plenty of breakfast fare, including burritos, fruit, sweets, treats and beverages. Please let us know how many swimmers you have, as well as coaches and parent reps so we can plan accordingly.

Schedule: The Knolls Warm ups: 7:15 - 7:45 am 7:20 - Scratch Meeting in Clubhouse 7:30 Stroke Judge & Starter/Ref Meeting at Starter Ref Post- EVERYBODY STROKE JUDGING MUST ATTEND 7:40 Timer/Runner Meeting with Starter/Ref at Starter Ref Post- ALL TIMERS MUST ATTEND 7:50 Start Heating through Event 12 7:55 National Anthem 8:00 First Event Begins!

For new parents: It looks like it will be a chilly morning, so plan to bring a couple of towels- they don't dry as fast during events and the kids tend to get cold.  Bring warm clothing: sweatshirts, sweatpants, a blanket, sleeping bag- whatever you can think of as when the kids get out of the pool after warmups, it is not warm and they get cold. Make sure you have a swim cap and goggles as well.  Look for our heating board to find out what events your kiddos are swimming- most kids write on their forearm with a sharpie the race # so that they can keep track of their race.

**Helpful Tip** Download the Swimtopia APP from the app store and log in with your user name and information.  From there you can select Knolls Tsunami- it will bring up all your swimmers, your volunteer shifts and any upcoming events.  It will also keep track of your swimmers times and you can see whether they have improved during the season.  It's a pretty handy app to have!

See you all tomorrow or Saturday at the meet!

    Jaime and Andrea
