Hello Tsunami Families!

Well, we finally have a decision that has been made by RMSL for the 2020 Swim Team Season.  During the virtual meeting last night it was decided that the 2020 season will be cancelled for all meets/prelim/finals/records.  Unfortunately, this also means that the Ripples Program will be cancelled this summer. The social distancing restrictions make it impossible to hold these type of lessons- no matter what restrictions are lifted.

While news is not shocking, it is certainly disappointing.  RMSL was hesitant to make this decision, so they did leave the door open a bit for a team by team decision on further activities this summer.  What does that mean?  It means that should the social distancing restrictions be lifted, they will continue to pay for the insurance for the next year at no cost to the teams to put together some sort of practice/social gatherings.  This could include holding smaller morning practices  from July-August or whatever the mandate is.  THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP! We have put together a survey (link at the bottom of the email) for your input.  We need to have the survey taken by May 12th in order for us to make decisions on whether we need to open a registration, hire coaches prior to the May 26th deadline for RMSL and their insurance requirements.  Please note that your answer in this survey in no way is a commitment from you; only a guideline for us as we navigate through the rest of the season.
