Swim Team Updates- Please Read
Hello Tsunamis!
I hope that everyone has had a good winter and you are all looking forward to the summer swim season! I have a couple of updates for you that I would like to share. I don't have many options on how to send our emails from swimtopia so I apologize in advance if you are receiving this email and no longer wish to. Please also forward this on to anyone I may have missed.
- We ARE planning to have a summer swim team season this summer. At this time, with the limit of 50 people, and quite possibly with the next bump up we will have to run all meets virtually. Since we moved over to Swimmingly, this is capable.
- We are trying to keep the same suit as we have the past 2 years. We are in discussions with Out of Breath Sports on how to hold any try-ons so more information will be forthcoming.
- Mark your calendars- we have planned a Pirates Cove event with Heritage Greens on June 30th.
- We are looking for another Parent Rep or two to help Andrea and I this summer. This is a minimum of a 2-year committment and we can help train you on everything. The HOA prefers to have this person live in the neighborhood.
- We are also looking for someone to run our concessions for home meets. Obviously, we are not sure what this summer will look like, but we do need to have someone in this position.
- If you are currently in a yearly position and would like to change- please let us know ASAP as we will need to get these positions filled.
- Finally, we want to inform you that our Head Coach, Randy Hyre has had to step down as our Head Coach. He will be assisting us in finding a replacement. Please read the following statement from him:
Dear Tsunamis,
I am saddened to inform you that I will be stepping down as the Head Coach of the Knolls Swim Team effective the 2021 summer swim season. I would like to thank everybody for your support, especially our awesome parent reps Andrea and Jaime, over the past four years. For me personally, it has been great to work with the kids and coaches during the summer and I will miss the excitement of being a Tsunami. As some of you know, I will be restarting the Warrior Aquatics program at Arapahoe High School on March 8th and I look forward to seeing you all at the pool. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Best of luck going forward!
Coach Randy
